Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Maple Leaf Learning Academy's website, programs, and services. By accessing our website or enrolling in our programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our services.

Description of Services

Maple Leaf Learning Academy provides educational services including:

Enrollment and Registration

Acceptance

Maple Leaf Learning Academy reserves the right to accept or decline enrollment applications based on program availability, student needs, and our ability to provide appropriate educational services.

Tuition and Fees

Payment Obligations

Families are responsible for paying tuition and fees according to the agreed-upon schedule. Tuition covers educational services as specified in the enrollment agreement.

Payment Methods

We accept payment via:

• Electronic bank transfers
• Cheques (where applicable)
• Automated monthly payment plans

Late Payments

Late payments may incur additional fees. Continued non-payment may result in suspension or termination of services. We will work with families experiencing financial difficulties to find appropriate solutions.

Refund Policy

Refunds are subject to the following conditions:

• Enrollment fees and deposits are generally non-refundable
• Tuition refunds may be available for withdrawals made within specified timeframes
• No refunds for missed classes due to student absence
• Refund requests must be submitted in writing
• Program-specific refund policies may apply

Attendance and Participation

Regular Attendance

Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes and sessions. Consistent attendance is crucial for academic progress. Parents must notify us of absences in advance when possible.

Withdrawal

To withdraw from a program, written notice must be provided according to the terms specified in the enrollment agreement. Financial obligations may continue for a notice period.

Code of Conduct

Students are expected to:

• Respect teachers, staff, and fellow students
• Follow classroom rules and academy policies
• Complete assigned work to the best of their ability
• Use academy facilities and materials appropriately
• Refrain from bullying, harassment, or disruptive behavior

Parent and Guardian Responsibilities

Parents and guardians agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information about their child
• Inform us of any changes in student information or circumstances
• Ensure students arrive on time for classes
• Pick up students promptly after programs end
• Support their child's learning at home
• Communicate concerns or issues with staff promptly
• Comply with all academy policies and procedures

Academic Integrity

We maintain high standards of academic integrity. Students must:

• Complete their own work
• Properly cite sources and references
• Refrain from plagiarism or cheating
• Follow guidelines for collaboration on assignments

Violations of academic integrity may result in disciplinary action, including assignment failure or program dismissal.

Health and Safety

Medical Information

Parents must disclose relevant medical conditions, allergies, medications, and special needs. We maintain confidentiality of medical information while ensuring student safety.

Emergency Procedures

In case of medical emergency, we will attempt to contact parents/guardians immediately and, if necessary, seek medical assistance. Parents authorize emergency medical treatment if they cannot be reached.

Illness Policy

Students who are ill should not attend classes to prevent spreading illness. We will notify parents if a student becomes ill during programs.

Technology Use

Acceptable Use

Students using academy technology and internet access must:

• Use technology for educational purposes only
• Respect intellectual property and copyright laws
• Protect passwords and account security
• Avoid accessing inappropriate content
• Report cyberbullying or inappropriate behavior

Online Learning

For online programs, students and families must ensure:

• Reliable internet connection
• Appropriate device (computer, tablet, etc.)
• Quiet, distraction-free learning environment
• Proper online etiquette and behavior

Intellectual Property

All educational materials, curriculum, content, and resources provided by Maple Leaf Learning Academy are our intellectual property and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used outside the scope of the enrolled program without written permission.

Photography and Media

We may take photographs or videos during programs for promotional, educational, or documentation purposes. Parents can opt out of photo/video consent at enrollment.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maple Leaf Learning Academy shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data or information
• Personal injuries not resulting from our negligence
• Loss or damage to personal property
• Delays or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control

Dispute Resolution

We encourage open communication to resolve any concerns. If disputes arise:

• First, discuss the issue with the relevant staff member
• If unresolved, escalate to program coordinator or director
• Formal complaints should be submitted in writing
• We will investigate and respond to complaints promptly

Program Changes and Cancellations

Maple Leaf Learning Academy reserves the right to:

• Modify program schedules, content, or instructors
• Cancel programs due to insufficient enrollment
• Close facilities due to emergencies or safety concerns
• Make changes necessary for operational or educational reasons

Significant changes will be communicated to enrolled families with reasonable notice.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate enrollment if:

• Tuition payments are not made as agreed
• Student behavior violates our code of conduct
• Our programs are not appropriate for the student's needs
• Terms of Service are violated

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service periodically. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of updated terms. Significant changes will be communicated to enrolled families.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
